Last catch up before the weekend
B Cador: April 2020
All the neighbours were out again last night to support our front line heroes and participating in #clapforourcarers, with saucepan banging, fireworks, claps and cheers. So well deserved!
The school family keeps connected and as we come to the end of week 4 and the end of the Easter holiday, it is lovely to close the week with a catch up from Sarah, Oliver and Maisie's mum...
Today Maisie took over as teacher for the day. She has been watching The Worst Witch so started her own witch school and helped Oliver to write his name and they painted a picture together too. On our walk today they both found four leaf clovers so I have just bought a lottery ticket! Take care Super spotting Maisie and Oliver. Double and triple dandelions and now four leaf clovers — mother nature is definitely showcasing how awesome and magical she can be! And the magic continued as Maisie turned into a witch today — I bet you had lots of fun! Let's hope the magic continues...good luck, Sarah!
What has been heart warming throughout the last four weeks of catch ups has been seeing all the wonderful sibling relationships that have been shared, the support, love and friendships in and between our school families and the amazing role you, as parents, have played in making this very strange time for us all as fun and worry free as you can for all the children. Thank you so much — we wouldn't have expected anything less from our Wrenbury families. We have heard that we have a further three weeks of lock down — a huge challenge! Know that if you need anything, we are here to support — so do contact Deb in the office or myself if you need any help, advice or support. Most importantly — stay strong, stay safe and stay well. This week in Base 1, we have started learning about our key figure, John Gerard. John Gerard was a herbalist and botanist born in Nantwich more than 400 years ago! He was popular for his healing remedies. To deepen the children's understanding of what a remedy is, we explored remedies that are still used today, such as jasmine and camomile tea for relaxation.
