Being Kind
: March 2024
Yesterday, Reception spent the afternoon talking about how we can be kind. We had two new friends to help our learning called Terry Turtle and Winnie Wolf. We first explored different emotions and how our facial expressions may change depending on how we feel. After this, the children listened to a story about Terry and Winnie and an argument they had about sharing a crown. We spoke about how Terry and Winnie may have felt and what they did to show kindness. We then related this to times in school when this might happened and how we can solve these simple conflicts with our friends by using our words.
To finish our activity, the children created their own special crown to show kindness. Terry Turtle and Winnie Wolf had lots of fun sitting on the different tables to see everyone's super learning!
