A watery day in Base 3

Wow! I've been blown away (or should that be washed away) by Base 3 today!
After some fantastic maths of the day work ordering 3 and 4 digit numbers, the children wrote some excellent stories as part of their free writing today based on our picture of Jack and his journey in his umbrella. I was amazed by the creativity from everyone and how the children have already started applying what we have learnt so far about expanded noun phrases and adverbials.
Then this afternoon, we continued our RE topic of water and religion, thinking about how water can be powerful and violent or calming and peaceful. We then showed this through dance and considered why water might be an important part of different religions.
