School lunches are provided by Cheshire East Catering and are prepared and cooked on site. Sharon Warner is our school cook and is ably supported in the kitchen by Liz Speed.
Currently we offer a three week hot meal menu with the option of a jacket potato or sandwich should parents request this. School meals are prepared on site and quality ingredients are sourced locally.
A meal costs £2.40 per day payable preferably through Parentmail. The school will accept cash or a checque (made payable to Cheshire East Council) at the beginning of a week or half term. One-off meals are paid for on the day.
All pupils in Reception (not Little Wrens) and Key Stage One (Y1 and Y2) are entitled to a universal free school meal.
Cheshire East Council also award free school meals to families that receive the qualifying incomes as outlined on the Cheshire East Council website. Click here to find out if your child is eligible to receive free school meals.
We encourage all eligible families to claim their free meals — including those in Reception and Key Stage One. Entitlement to free school meals enables the school to receive significant amounts of additional funding through the Pupil Premium which enable the school to further improve standards, especially for children in receipt of the pupil premium grant funding .
Our EYFS and Little Wrens children are given fruit as a snack.
Our school cook prepares a range of healthy breakfast snacks which are available for break time at a small cost.
