We have been through a very challenging time since school closed to the majority of children back in March 2020 because of the Coronavirus.

We have now fully opened and have welcomed back all our children. On reopening, our highest priority has been and still is each child's mental health and well-being — something we, at Wrenbury, have always prioritised through our ethos 'We all matter'.

It is paramount that we, in school, understand the emotional needs of all our children and therefore on re-opening requested that the 'Children's Guide Back To School' was shared with the each child at home and that the two activity sheets were completed and returned to school: 'The Colour Monster Activity' and the 'While I was at home...'

A comprehensive letter outlining our protective measures, new routines and expectations ws also attached for parents and carers.

Since the children have been back in school, the staff have been supporting the children with 'The Curriculum for Recovery' — see attached document. This is credited to Sandbach Primary School who kindly shared their resource with all Cheshire East schools. This has helped our staff to identify those children who are in need of a little extra support with their well-being, health and/or learning as a consequence of the time spent at home.

In addition, our Well-being Lunch Clubs continue but on a daily basis, for every child, with their teacher and teaching assistant within their class bubble.
