Kwik Cricket Success for Wrenbury Girls
Mr McLean: June 2015
Friday saw the Girls cricket team compete in the Crewe and Nantwich Schools Girls Kwik Cricket tournament. The girls took part in a 3 team group stage, winning both of their games. As group winners they then went through to compete in the final against the other group winners, Stapeley Broad Lane.
Batting first, the girls posted a good, but achievable score. However, some superb bowling and fielding, taking wickets and catches, limited their opponents score, resulting in a superb victory for the girls.
Again, the girls displayed fantastic camaraderie, encouraging each other throughout and excellent sportsmanship towards all of their opponents
A great well done to Libby, Sophie, Ellie M, Heidi, Lemonie, Ellie D, Mia and Emily. The girls will now compete in the Cheshire Finals at Warrington Cricket club in early July.
